One beginning Android user asked me a question. Here is it: “I had a certain amount of money on a mobile phone account and it melted in a couple of minutes! What happened?” So all the money were withdrawn from the mobile phone account. What is the reason of such a problem? Let’s talk about how to disable automatic updates on the Android device today.
As I mentioned, the beginning users may not know that the Android applications and games on the smartphone or tablet can be updated (refreshed) without device owner permission in a background. The worst thing is that you even didn`t want this update for some reason.
The first and the most important reason, why user wants to disable automatic app updates, is wasting of money on a mobile phone account. It is fraught with the fact that people, who pay for internet traffic per kilobyte, will spend a lot of money for the mobile Internet. Android device (or rather the OS itself) like the Internet, the kids like candies. Another thing, if you use unlimited internet. Moreover, of course you won`t have these problems with the extra costs updating Android device via Wi-Fi.
Of course, there can be other causes, why people want to disable automatic app updates:
Let’s There are two methods to disable automatic app updates:
The first method requires some following simple steps. You need to go to the device Settings and look for the item “About phone”, then click on the “System updates” click on “Ask me before downloading” in the context menu. This command will prevent automatic updating of applications and therefore uncontrolled waste of user’s money.
The second way to disable automatic app updates in Android OS is in the settings of the Google Play Store. To do this, run the Play Market app, which is available on your smartphone or tablet. Then click the “Settings” and look for “Auto-update apps” in section General, and click on it. There you can see two options: first is “Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply” and second is “Do not auto-update apps”. To prevent unauthorized upgrades choose the second option.
There is another useful function on my opinion. It allows you to run automatic update Android applications in the presence of an open network of Wi-Fi. Loss of money a user cannot be held because boldly put a check in “Update via Wi-Fi only”.
These two methods work really well! Use them and watch your traffic. If you know another methods, problem has not resolved or this method didn`t help, write to us in a comments bellow and we will respond.
